This manufacturer-approved small element infinite switch (part number 318293824) for Kenmore Elite electric cooktop model 79041232800 mounts onto the shaft of the switch to let cooks turn the element on and off and adjust the temperature.

  • When installing the replacement infinite switch consider also replacing the dual element infinite switch (part number 903097-9050) and the 2 other element infinite switches ( part number 318531500) for the 6-in. and 8-in. elements.
  • Shut off the circuit breaker for the cooktop to disconnect electrical power before beginning to make the repair. Note how and where the wires are connected to the old infinite switches before detaching them.
